A restrained restaurant interior uses dark finishes, screened views and focused lighting to create a close relationship between dining and atmosphere. The entrance sequence sets the tone before the principal room is revealed.
Planning the experience
The counter and surrounding dining settings establish different ways to experience the venue. Circulation remains a design decision in its own right: arrival, service and seating need to work together.
Material & light
Textured walls, fine screens and warm pools of light give the room depth. The details are strongest at the scale of the guest: the edge of a table, the view across the counter and the transition between spaces.
